Jeffery Mattson has already written the prequel books and they are currently safely locked away in a vault awaiting publication. The prequels follow the adventures of Galdramour and his apprentice as they try to reproduce Merlin's greatest work — the Fablestones.
To do so they must find and unlock ancient artifacts, battle dragons and witches, and piece together ancient clues that have puzzled historians for centures, all before the King's men do.
They may not have much time. The skies grow darker every day. A plague lurks in the shadows that threatens to consume their world, it's origin yet unknown.
Constructing a Fablestone may be their only salvation, or it might be the catalyst that dooms them all.
